Let Our Children Decide (2015)

Emerging from the Stonebow House project that focused on the stairwell of this 1960s Brutalist structure, the installation, Let Our Children Decide (2015) (précis of a local’s viewpoint), incorporated a video projection composed from online past images with drawings made in response to the site today. Within the context of recent renewed interest in Brutalist architecture, the work examined a felt engagement with the space informed by shifting responses to the structure and highlighted its uncertain future as part of historic York. The work was shown as part of Relish at The New School House Gallery, York in December 2015.
