Resonances Retold (2016)

Inspired by the stunning light rhythms released following recent restoration of York Art Gallery‘s Victorian roof space, the work emerged from research that examined the felt experience of their resonances. Through the repetitive action of drawing, from source drawings made in the Main Gallery, Resonances Retold recorded the felt responses released from this process. The installation incorporated light and the rhythmic layering of drawings to emphasise these ideas and was shown as part of SEE:SAW at York St John University in May 2016.
