The Stonebow House project focused on the stairwell of this 1960s Brutalist structure in York that has generated conflicting local debate.  Alongside making extensive drawings in response to the site, research involved gathering and working with online material as well as video footage.  Initially drawn to the geometry and materiality of the structure, working expanded to consider a felt experience of the space within the context of recent renewed interest in Brutalist architecture amid a wider social, political and economic landscape.
