Resonances Retold (2016)

2016 to 2017

Inspired by York Art Gallery’s refurbished Main Gallery, this body of work evolved from responding to the passages of light formed by the historic architecture as they traced over features in the space. The installation Resonances Retold, comprising graphite drawings and digital prints on translucent paper, was on show at York Art Gallery from October 2016 to March 2017. Hung in layers interacting with the rhythms of natural light in the space, the work changed throughout the day and with the seasons, uniting with its surroundings.
