“Pleasurable objects and buildings mediate an experience of the processes by which the object or structure was made; in a way, they invite the viewer/user to touch the hand of the maker.”¹

This project is concerned with closely examining responses to the sensory experience of architectural materials through drawing. Working considers the process of sensory ‘touch‘ in both reception and expression.

The installation Skin, comprising drawings on translucent papers that are activated by natural light in the space, is currently part of the exhibition, Forms Assembled in the Light, at Sunny Bank Mills Gallery until the end of October 2018.
